Adalynn is here!!!!

Mommy and her girl. She's one day old here.
Addy and Daddy, her favorite place to be!

Just minutes old.

Soooooo....God gave us our little miracle on July 5. We have been so busy I haven't had a chance to post anything. I'm sure you all understand :)

I went into labor on the 3rd. Brian and I were at the St Paul Rodeo eating funnel cake (he thinks the funnel cake is what put me over the edge) and I started to cramp. Sure enough, we got home around midnight and I started contracting around 2:00am. We arived at the hospital at 10:30am. Addy finally decided to leave her favorite warm home to show us her beautiful face at 1:03 the next morning. What an experience!

She weighed in at 9lbs 8oz, 22 inches long and a 14 inch head. I thought she would be on the bigger side....I had NO CLUE she would come out as a one month old. She lost some weight and was down to 8lbs 14oz. By her 2.5 week appointment she was back up to 10lbs 10oz. Our pediatrician, bless his heart, said "Wow....your milk really came in, didn't it?!" He said they are happy if babies make it up to their birth weight by the two week appt. Our baby girl was an over acheiver.

Birth went very well, a little long but worth it. I had her almost naturally. I dilated to 8cm before I decided to get an epidural. I wanted to know what it felt like, a little sadistic....I know. So I felt it and that was plenty, bring on the drugs. I was able to sleep a little but I stopped dilating. God knew what had to happen and my epidural stopped working. I started to feel the contractions and dilate again...bummer. I had then redue my epidural and not long after she arived. Brian was by my side the entire time. I could not have given birth to our child without him. He did all the counting to ten while I pushed, he got me everything I needed. He even rubbed my feet. What a wonderful experience to bring life into this world together. Now we have a little family and I wouldn't change a single thing. We are so blessed!

39 weeks and 3 days

I am now officially off work and it's really strange. I am 'supposed' to be relaxing and getting my rest before the storm, but I just can't. I should be at work! Oh well, I guess I'll have to get used to it for a while.

Brian and I had our doctors appt today and I am dilated to a 2 or so. They aren't sure when she'll come, I'll just wait until she's good and ready. Our baby girl is very active still and just squirms all day long without stop. That is something I'll miss, her in my tummy and our bonding. But we are so excited to see her, so we can share bonding with her together. What an amazing gift from God she is. I love her so much and I know I will only love her more and more, it's almost overwhelming.

I have been having cramps at night so I think she is getting ready to come on out and see everyone....at least I hope. But I am feeling pretty good for being 39 weeks and 3 days. I am sleepy and now know why pregnant women waddle. She has dropped pretty low which makes things a little challenging.....like bending over or simple things like getting out of bed or the car. I'm sure Brian laughs inside when he watches me attempt these things, then does them for me or helps. What a Godsend he has been. He is truly amazing and a blessing in my life. He will be such a great daddy, I can't wait to watch him hold our tiny baby girl in his big hands.

Until next time~Maybe I'll be able to post a picture of our little one,

Cousin Hannah

Our beautiful niece Hannah showing us her "baby tousin". This was on her 3rd birthday, May 28th. She is excited to meet her and likes to feel her move. What a sweety!

She's almost here!

Brian has taken many pictures of me and here is a comparison just to see how much this baby has grown inside me. How amazing to see the difference. I never ever thought my skin was able to do this, but God has his plans!

I have weekly doctor appointments and Tuesday I was dilated to a 1. The mid wife thinks she might not come until July, being my first baby. I think I'll let God make that decision. I go again next Tuesday, so we'll see if I've dilated any more then.

We are so excited for her to arrive, she is quite active right now and responds very well to Daddy. She'll take one look at him and know exactly who he is.

My feet have started to swell a little so the baby and I have been enjoying warm baths, she likes it. :)

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

New blog

Brian and I are starting a blog to let all of our family and friends know how we are doing with the new little addition to our family. She's not here yet, but is due in three weeks. June 30th is what they say. We'll try and update it often, I should have done this earlier but who is that organized!?
